Hi, I’m Stefan Dodd, I’ve lived and worked in Gravesend for just over forty years. Born in the old Gravesend hospital, I went to Whitehill junior school then on to - the now sadly closed - Southfields secondary school. I worked hard and completed an apprenticeship attending Northwest Kent Collage. Along with my brother we are the 4th generation Gravesend residents.
After leaving college, I started my own business in Gravesend with my brother. We like to do all we can in the area. We support the youngsters by offering apprenticeships and employ 10 people locally. We also love our sport and have sponsored local sports clubs.
My wife and I have two boys who we fostered several years ago and who both attend local schools. We’re very proud of them both.
Having lived in the community all my life, I have seen first-hand what great things it can achieve when the community comes together and addresses the matters that are most important to it.
As your local councillor I want to know the important issues that matter to you and are affecting you on a personal and local level, then I can do everything in my power to help or to listen and take your concerns directly to the local authorities.
I think the incredibly diverse culture of Gravesend has so much to offer and to learn from in build a rewarding and fulfilling environment for us all to live in. By ensuring a safe and clean place to live and work with job opportunities for young and old with a council that works for all local residents I’m sure it can be even better.
