Jordan Meade is a prospective candidate for Higham & Shorne ward in the 2023 Gravesham Borough Council elections.
Cllr. Jordan Meade FRSA is Leader of The Conservative Group at Council and the Kent County Councillor for Gravesend East.
Jordan is a passionate and experienced local councillor who has served the borough since 2015. He was born and bred in Gravesend and is passionate about the town’s river heritage, protecting our marshlands, open spaces and parks, and in creating opportunities for young people.
Throughout his time as a local Councillor Jordan has worked hard to be a voice for local residents. He has fought the Council successfully in stopping overdevelopment and constantly challenges the Labour Council’s wasteful spending on vanity projects over the delivery of quality services.
He currently serves as the Leader of the Conservative Group on Gravesham Borough Council and as County Councillor for Gravesend East on Kent County Council. Here he is the Deputy Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care & Public Health and the County’s Representative on the Planning Committee of the Ebbsfleet Development Corporation.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Freeman of the City of London. Jordan is currently a self-employed strategist engaged with supporting the Offices of several Members of the House of Lords. He is proud to serve as a National Vice Chairman of the Maritime Volunteer Service (MVS), as the Chairman of Gravesham Street Pastors, and as President of the Gravesham Tour Guides Association. In his spare time, Jordan enjoys taking long walks with his Labrador, mostly along the marshlands of Higham and Shorne on the Saxon Shore Way.Follow Jordan on Twitter here @MeadeJordan
